Baby Stuff, Boy Stuff and a Purse

Well it has been awhile since I last posted. It is not because I have gotten lazy about the newly formed blog. It is because I haven't really been sewing. My sewing machine is in the shop getting fixed. I have a machine that I borrowed from a friend, but I haven't really wanted to use it too much because it does skip stitches here and there. I have been going crazy not being able to sew for almost an entire month. I finally had to figure something else out since it doesn't look like I am getting my machine back anytime soon. I found another friend who had a machine I could borrow and I began sewing like crazy. Over the past few days I have made quite a bit of stuff and here it all is.

These are the birthday shirts for Cortez, Cruz and Raider. It was my first time doing any sort of applique. I think they turned out pretty good for my first try.

I recently got this pattern for Raider and couldn't wait to try it out. I just love how they turned out.

And look how cute they are on.

This is a NCBE preemie layette that I made for a friend's sister who recently had her baby at 33 weeks. I wish I would have placed something in the picture so you could see how tiny it is.

2 hats to match the layette

My friend Ali came to visit this weekend. We had such a great time and everyday during Raider's nap I would sew and she would crochet. I decided I needed to make her something for being so amazing. So this is the purse I made.

She wanted the strap to be long so she could fit it over her head. I think it turned out great.

And finally a baby blanket for my sister's new baby. They decided not to find out what they are having so I had to find something gender neutral. I love how it turned out and it is so soft and yummy. I can't wait for that little baby to be here.

In the next couple of days I plan to make some more NCBE layettes for my sister and a pink and a blue t-shirt for the going home from the hospital outfit.
